How to Keep Riding as You Get Older (Without Fighting Your Body)
There comes a point when we realize something.

Our horses aren't the only ones who need a good warm-up.
We do too.

Getting older doesn't mean giving up riding.
It simply means getting more creative.

🐴 Stop Fighting Your Body

For years I kept expecting my body to work the way it did in my twenties.

Once I stopped fighting that reality and started working with my body instead, everything became easier.

🐴 Work Smarter, Not Harder

I use a mounting block.
I stretch before I ride.
I shorten my rides on really hot days.
I look for simple ways to make riding easier on my body.

None of those things make me less of a rider.
They help me stay one.

🐴 Small Changes Add Up

A little more flexibility.
A little more balance.
A little more strength.
A little more energy.

Those small improvements don't just help your body.
They help your confidence too.
When your body feels better, your brain has one less reason to worry.

One of the best gifts we can give ourselves is letting go of the rider we used to be.
